First established by Founder William Booth in 1865, The Salvation Army existed to assist the lost, the last and the least in the city of London (the poorest area at that time being the East End). 15 years later, The Salvation Army reached the shores of Australia holding its first meeting in the city of Adelaide (September 1880). Today, The Salvation Army has been working for over 130 year to care for Australians.
